Hi

My wireless router has gone up the spout as the speed kept dropping so testing it with a lead direct from the modem and the speed appears consistent now.

So I need a new router, any one got any ideas. I have to use Microsoft OCS with Live Meeting which is how I noticed the signal from wireless was awful.

are you sure its the router and not the wireless NIC card (or USB stick) on the PC? Also you can get latency problems depending on what the signal has to go through such as walls etc.

You may also be able to use another wierless channel just incase the wireless signal is picking up interference which is causing a latency problem.

As for the routers the only brand I tend to avoid is belkinas I had a router from them in the past which could not handle the amount of internet traffic which gaming/streaming needs..

but netgear or linksys have quite good reputations. . a wireless router with 4 port switch from them are usually good value for money.
