Er, Insurance?
Must say with having a little girl you should have been more carefull and been mature enough to realise a rollerskate vs a 4x4 just isnt going to come off in your favour.

wow hasn't standards changed
I remember being a student in 80's and I got a small grant. Worked my socks off in Summer. I couldn't afford a car, get drunk or have a ipod or something equivalent. The biggest expense was pay £150 for a 14" tv for the flat0 -

I think its more down to wealthy parents, it certainly isnt a student loan that is paying for a car!! I am a student myself and like you said work so hard both throughout the summer and whilst i am at uni aswell and there is no way i could ever afford a car! Not that i need one anyway :rolleyes:Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -

Wow the assumptions! How do you know she isnt a mature student? How do you know her parents/husband are not supporting her?

You dont have to have wealthy parents to run a car AND go to uni, i find saving up the money you earn in the summer works well.0 -

A lot of my friends do that. Im a mature student in the 2nd year of my degree. This year I went to California on holiday, I spend a small fortune on clothes
and have 2 cars. How? My husband has a bloody good job and supports me.
