Microsoft Outlook 2000

Since changing to broadband through a livebox I have been unable to receive my e-mails through Outlook as it will not connect. I used to connect to broadband through a modem and it worked fine then. Does anyone know what connection settings I need to change in order for it to work or even if it will? Any help would be gratefully received.

  • what error is it thowing up?

    Have you changed your provider?

Has your account details changed if you are with the same provider?

Could it be the "Livebox" has a different smtp and PoP server address?

It'll be trying to fire up the dial up connection. Go to Control Panel, Internet Options, Connections and make sure "Never dial a connection" is ticked. Next go into Outlook, check the account and if there's a tab for the connection to use, select LAN.
