peugeot 806 bonnet cable

hi sorry if iam posting on the wrong place but i desperately need help .
i have a peugeot 806 and the power steering belt has come off ,thats not a problem to fix but the major problem is the bonnet cable has just snapped and i cant get the bonnet open as far as i can tell it has snapped at the bonnet catch :mad: does anyone have any tips as to how to get the bl**dy thing open before i lose my temper thanks

    If it were me, I'd call the AA or someone. Actually, if it were me, I just phone work..............

  • never had a cable snap at the bonnet end,but if i did im sure it would end in a broken grill and lots of swear words.

    Don’t know about this specific car but often you can get to the catch either through the grill or from underneath.

    If you’re doing it yourself it might be worth a call to the dealer, they’re bound to have dealt with it before
  • i was going to call out green flag but wasnt sure if they would come out for a broken bonnet cable .
    goldspanner there has been a lot of swear words beeen flying around the catch is right behind the big peugeot badge right in the centre of the grill ,i think i may have to bring out the hammer lol
    i guess a grill may be cheaper in the long run

    i only had the timing belt changed a few weeks ago at a peugeot specialist i might give them a call and see if they know how to open it
