Emoticons not available

Hello

Hope someone with some IT knowledge can help me.

My son, who is an IT manager, cleaned up my PC yesterday and it's a lot better. However, now I can't view the emoticons and embedded images in MSE forum messages. I just get a little square with a red cross. He's now gone on holiday, so I can't ask him to fix it!

Can anyone help please? It's not urgent, and I can ask my son when he's back, but it's annoying.

Thanks
 My glass is half full

I think this may be a general site problem at the moment. Hover over the cross to get the message.

I've just been getting rather frustrated trying to fix this problem!!! So glad I found your post and now realise I'm not the only one.
