wma files to mp3

HI, I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction to some free software that will allow me to convert my wma files to mp3, allowing me to load a few albums onto a single mp3 disc and play it in the car.

Well I have quite simply used iTunes. I open the wma file up in iTunes and resave it as mp3. Has always worked for me and I have used it for music needed at a radio station and never been let down by the end result of doing it this way. Good luck.:A
