studio living?

morning all, I have booked a SC studio in Tenerife for next spring. It will be the first time in a studio for just the 2 of us , family now grown up.
I wanted to ask mse's if they are as small as I think they might be?
Could someone tell me what to expect? I think it will be twin beds, a small strip for a kitchen area, with 2 rings, sink and fridge. Table for 2 and thats about it! There must be someware to put clothes, wardrobe, etc...
There will be a balcony or terrice and bathroom.
Thank you

If winter comes, can spring be far behind?

did the thing not show u pictures of the studio??
anyhoos it'l be like the master bedroom with a sep bathroom. there will be one wardrobe and a bedside table.
the 2 rings' thing could be anything from a full on 'kitchen style' mini uni, but is more likely to be a side table with 2 cupboards and an external electric 2 rings thing...
but unless u are seriously going to cook, u wont use it.0 -
It can vary.
We have had some studios that could have fitted a dozen double beds, others which have had just enough room to get round the bed, and the fridge would not open fully!
We would expect the minimum of 2 rings, a sink and a fridge. There should be a balcony or space outside if on ground floor. There should be places to put clothes away, the bed may be twins or a double, and the bathroom ensuite. There will be a variety (of often non matching) crockery and some (non matching) cutlery and pans. You may have a kettle, otherwise use a saucepan for heating water. The table to eat may be inside, otherwise use the table/chairs on the balcony. There may not be things such as bottle openers, washing up liquids, tea towels or cloths, but these should be obtainable locally for a few euros.
We have just got back from Greece, and my wife was able to knock up a family meal 3 nights out of every 4 using just 2 rings (its easier feeding young children that way). Each morning I cooked a round of bacon sandwiches.

Thanks all, we are going to Cristian/Tenerife Sur Apartments. I have found a holiday mag with a picture of a large sitting room, but I should think that belongs to the 2 bedroom ones.It says the 1/2 beds have kitchenette with cooking rings, oven, kettle, toaster, cooking utensils and fridge. Satellite tv (pay 15e per wk) saw that on a home truths site. telephone, safety deposit box @ cost, and a balcony or terrice. It does not say - what I wanted to know - whats in the studio appartments....
Yes, we do eat out, but sometimes eat in. I have even bought a disposible BQ. and cooked in the garden when we had a 2 bed bungalow in Grand Canaria. If winter comes, can spring be far behind?

Sorry Julie_D didn't mean to 'thank you' as I can't believe you would book a holiday without knowing what you were getting for your money. However, I'm not sure that, wardrobe, dressing table, bedside tables are mentioned in the itineray! Pictures usually show the layout even if it's not of the same room size. I've yet to stay in an apartment that hasn't got the above. Not sure that there will any hangers in the wardrobe though
Take teatowels (as they are not likely to be provided) small 100ml of washing up liquid, teabags, coffee, etc as it can all add up when you have to do that Supermarket shop for the early morning cuppa. 0 -
Hi Fruity 1, I have my own idea of what a studo will be like! I just thought I would ask folk who have tried one. I have had several 2 bed appartments on holidays. My holiday will be ok as I booked a package through a good travel company. If winter comes, can spring be far behind?
