Just wait till one of the junk mailers if daft enough to send you a pre-paid envelope and then just stuff it with your other junk mail (less your address if there is one) and post it off for them to sort through! Oh the joy the must get.......:rotfl:

You would think the pizza places that dump !!!!!! leaflets through your letterbox every day would get the hint when you leave ripped up menus on the doorstep... I even had a letter on my letterbox saying no menu's please but some !!!! decided to remove that? crazy!

Brilliant idea.. Im going to stuff the pizza shops letters in the post box saying "return to sender at thier expense"

They get charged £1 plus postage for post with no stamp... they wont spam anymore at that price.
  • I have been sending junk mail back in their own envelopes for a while. It definately stops them sending you any more. As to the takeaway menus you get I save them all up until there is a good pile and then on my way into town I pick on one of the takeaways and shove the whole lot through their letter box.

On a more serious note I have contacted my local council to see if they could do anything about the amount of menus that get posted through my door and they said they had no pwers. Seems a bit ridiculous to me as I receive at least one menu per day.

You can use free leftover labels from the Royal Mail surveys to do this....brilliant idea. I've had 9 Papa Johns leaflets since July 1st.

This completely misses the point of the thread title as there is no 'recycling' involved in this strategy. While I hate spam junk mail as much as anyone, do you really think the original senders are going to recycle it when they receive it from you? Hmmmm, no, I think it's going straight in the general waste bin.

Just bite the bullet and drop it in your own recycle bin at home. It's annoying but it's not exactly hard, is it?
