after you tried Fn + F9, make sure you do that again (if you didn't already) to make sure we haven't changed any settings.

now try holding Fn and pressing the F10 key then, that toggles the integrated keypad i believe.

if that doesn't work, do the same thing again, so once again, we know we haven't changed any settings.

    any joy?
  • when i press fn+f9 it turns the internal mouse on and off, have tried press fn + f10 there is a green light comes on but nothing else happens. Went to bed last night removed battery and power cable still no joy, thank you again for all your help

can i ask, does the laptop load to windows and you're just unable to use the keyboard, or is it not loading at all (just a blank screen) ?
  • it loads windows fine, it is just the keyboard that does'nt work
