BBC iPlayer

On holiday I found I couldn't use iPlayer! For UK users only. I pay my licence fee and it makes sense to block overseas people I suppose but does anyone know a way around this?

You can use a proxy, but it might be too slow. I'm not sure how legal accessing it from outside the UK would be.

If you're going to watch British TV on holiday, why not just stay at home?

    It's a lot cheaper. ;)
  • Use a corporate laptop.. like I do :) You can then 'connect' to the UK network from abroad and the BBC thinks you're still in blighty
