what an excellent idea.......swapping skills would surely work right across the board, from builders/car owners to dog walkers or personal shoppers......as far as food from the supermarket skips go the food has to be eaten pretty quick so would need a quick turn around....its absolutely criminal the amount of waste food which is perfectly edible gets sent to landfil, i am at this moment eating a bag of crisps which i got from my local co-op skip still packaged and in the original box and in date.......never had any health issues and been doing it 20 years......0

ShelBell you did ask for "All Feedback welcome" good and bad points
I often do work share or as we call it "Mates rates" In my and all local boozers are all sorts of trades and i have put a staircase in for a mate who has fitted my central heating. Another fixed my car for a front door.I fit locks and smoke alarms in the pensioners block opposite never a sniff of a charge they look over my house when we are not there.
I am all for these schemes to work but you can have problems EG. A solicitor friend agreed to do the paperwork on my last house (approx £600) for a patio in a house he rents approx(£600) Even though by his admission it was 2/3 hours work for him and a hard day for me and lad i was happy and we did both jobs on "mates rates" After received a bill for searches and postage and out of pocket stuff.I turned the paper over and wrote lads wage, silicone, screws and out of pocket etc. We called it quits but he wasnt happy and neither was i that he asked .
Woodstoke i think thats illegal when it stop becoming the co-ops and is then the skip companys If the skip is in a public place then i belive it still is trespassing onto/into the skip companys property, be careful and just because a product is in date you dont know the reason for it being in the skip (maybe a box of rat poision broke over it etc)
agreed about the criminal amount of waste sent to landfills though:cool: hard as nails on the internet . wimp in the real world :cool:0 -
I'd like to try out freeganism, but don't want to go it alone my first time at least, i think it's a really good idea. I'm in Neston so email me. treggea@hotmail.co.uk0

wirral is a good place to do a job share "mates rates" idea as it has got a perfect distinction and cut off line (not far off a island) and if you include Neston & Ellesmere Port is another issue, TYhats why the scout post works so well boundaries are clearly marked out (normally by water)
Once again dont go into skips to get stuff to eat you never know why its been chucked BTW from wallasey looking for a driveway laying for a house of windows (about 2.5k) monetary value:cool: hard as nails on the internet . wimp in the real world :cool:0
