Can you still receive low rate mobility if you have issues walking from A to B but hold a full driving license and can drive ok by yourself?

In other words would being able to drive automatically disqualify your DLA award?

I dont think being able to drive would disqualify you from receiving low rate mobility, in fact I have read about people who drive and receive it. I always thought it was more about needing guidance when in unfamilar places when actually walking.

I am more than sure you can get DLA in that situation. If you think about it higher rate mobility has the option of motability and a car allocation. A lot of those in receipt of higher rate mobility drive their motability cars, so I do not see why it should not apply to lower rate DLA.

Yes, you can. My OH gets high rate mobility DLA and drives his motability car.
