Hi there, i know this is a money saving site, but id really like to know where i wil be living when we get posted to raf innsworth, I was just after some info, like what are the quarters like local amenities and such like.. I have called the hive at RAF innsworth and still not recieved any info, the lady at our hive has even called them and asked them to send us info but still no luck- this was 2 months ago, and we are being posted at the end of october. I would really like to know abit about where we are going.. Any info will be greatly appreciated.

Sorry, I've never been to Innsworth. I had thought that it closed this year as all the admin has been moved to Halton so that could be why there's no reply from the HIVE maybe.

I tried looking for you on the internet, but most of the sites said Innsworth had closed this year!?

Hmm wierd-My OH is in the Army and isnt actually working on the Innsworth Camp but thats where we have been told we would be living! How strange. Thanks for looking for me Jolene and Donna really greatful. x

Am not anything to do with army, but live close to innsworth. I seem to remember from the local news that nato (i think) will be using the site. Innsworth is between cheltenham and Gloucester and buses go via innsworth between the 2. Schools are quite good in area - take aways and pubs close by. If you like going out -meals or pubs/clubbing then would say go for Cheltenham -unless like me your happy with cheesy music then Gloucester is just fine!

From what you have said, I think your OH is posted to JSSU(CH), this is why you will be accomodated at Innsworth, This is 4 miles from you husbands workplace and in between gloucester an cheltenham as a previous poster as already said, There used to be a little SPAR shop just down the road from the quarters but this may now have closed,

Churchdown is just under a mile away a local village with a few shops and a little co-op if i remember,

Cheltenham is great quite a large SPA town, with lots of shops and a good night life,

Your only a few miles away from the M5 with easy access to the M4,

As for schools i'm sure there is a primary school just down the road but can't be quite sure.

If you had read Krazy-kate's post you will notice she said not working at innsworth just accommodated there !!
