Spotted this on the Marks website which sent me hunting around to see if its a good deal for the 21 speed gear spec. Argos dont have any, Halfords have one model thats currently half price from £299 and is still £30 more with delivery, even the direct bike specialists look more expensive.
Would never think of Marks for bikes and I cant imagine anyone else would so I thought it was worth doing a post, hope it helps someone.

£199 seems to be the general price for this bike, such as at
http://www.bikesportandleisure.com/products.php?plid=m1b0s2p556&tbv=LAND_ROVER_Zamora_BIKES_Mountain_Bikes_-_Front_Suspension
I'm interested in the Halfords bike though and couldn't find it on their site.

That's not quite the same bike, the M&S one is the Karnac, like this one at £159.
Edit: Bear in mind that the M&S bike is a 19.5 inch frame, which may not suit taller people.0 -
Thanks for the info, thats really useful - I'm very tempted now.
The Halfords offer I saw was for the unisex Shockwave
http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10001&langId=-1&catalogId=10151&productId=171396&categoryId=38257
Its a bit chunky for me, but again a good saving.

I got an all alloy silver fox (made by the Muddy fox outfit) adult bike 21 speed, dual front shocks, central y frame with spring, crash helment gloves, tool kit lights (F&R) halogen, water proof jacket + trousers, puncture repair kit, gloves, teflon spray and a bunch of other stuff for £159+£8.99 P&P Bike delivered in about £10 days and the accessories over about 2 months, as they kept sending me the wrong size gloves!
Please with the bike, customer service was good reply to email in minutes!
I called their sales line this is outsourced to India, did not feel happy proving CCard info so I ordered via their web site.
I found their web site very poor, and requested a printed catalogue this has more info than their web site. I could also browse the deals and compare them on the printed catalogue more easily.
I'm sure these chap will have a better deal on price terms than M&S but M&S have good Customer service. I've heard a few complaints on MSE about Sterlinghouse but again alot of people on MSE say they are good.
This is their offering from Silver Fox 21" alloy front discs: Alloy dual suspension, rear swing arm frame, 26" Bigfoot suspension fork, alloy crown, 26" alloy wheels, front quick release. Front mechanical disc brakes. V type rear, Shimano 21 speed EZ fire shifters gear set. Suits 14 year olds upwards - inside leg 28" - 34".
£149.99 + £7.99 P&P

Woolworths also have some good deal instore so that is worth a look for the lower end steel frames.Seth.0 -
I'd go for the M&S bike over the sterling house and Halfords 'full suspension' offerings. Full suspension bikes at this price are always heavy and have a tendancy to bend rather easily. The cheap suspension is usually so springy that it takes all the power out of your pedal strokes. The M&S bike has recognised brand name budget parts that will do the job adequately so long as you don't want to take it on any real mountains. A 19.5" frame is acually quite large for an ATB frame (I'm 5'7" and my partner is 5'10" and we both ride an 18" frame). Best thing is to try before you buy as you really can't tell what a bike will be like until you try it.2009 wins: Signed Saxon CD, Solar Torch, Drumsticks, Priest Feast Tix, Watch, Hammerfest tix :beer:0
