My wife has been buying shares in United Utilities for about the past 5 years or so. Then a few months ago they decided to give some shares/money back. the only thing is when I go to Equitini, which look after the shares, there seem to be 2 types of shares and about 7,000 of which Im not sure where it came from, maybe its rightly hers but im not too sure
Any help or advice much appreciated:beer:

They gave cash back to shareholders a few weeks ago by issuing A ' shares in addition to the normal ones. Unless you informed them otherwise these A shares should have been redeemed and you should have gotten a cheque for the money or cash in your nominee account, I think it was 170 pence for every share you originally held.Krusty & Phil Madoff, 1990 - 2007:

But the only thing is when I got to equintini which look after the shares there 2 amounts there now. One is old UU and the others are the new UUgrp. but not sure if she is entitled to both or is one a mistake.
otherwise she doubled here money for no reason at all
btw we got a checque for some money from some of the shares when they sold them off/ bought them back from her0
