Cordless telephone with ON/OFF bell switch

I want a cordless telephone that has extra handsets but I cant find any that have a simple on/off switch like my old one does. Do they make any like this anymore? Mine has a simple on/off switch at the side of the phone. The ones I have looked at do have a volume control but its got to be set while you are using the phone which is really inconvenient.

I want to buy a set for my daughter who is a nurse working shifts. It would be usefull for her to be able to just simply turn off the bell at the side of her bed when shes been on nights.

Does anyone know of any cordless phones with this function?
Thanx

Not quite what you're asking for, but some Panasonics have a 'night mode'. For example:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Panasonic-TG8220E-Telephone-Answering-Machine/dp/B000V7EI2S

"Night mode is handy, whereby all incoming calls will not ring between times preset by yourself ( default 23.00 - 07.00),you can tweak the settings here by use of a ring delay facility ( callers ringing for more then 60 / 90 secs etc will get through, also you can categorise callers into groups and allow access to individual groups regardless of night mode settings. Very handy for close family."

I think most cordless phones have the capability (via the menu) to turn the ringer volume down to zero, in other words "off".
I also think that you are referring to the earpiece volume, which mostly can only be set whilst on a call, and perhaps only lasts for that one call.

All the ones I've seen and used you simply switch them to off via the menu.
It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!

The old set of cordless phones I have are geemarc and I can just switch the bell off at the side with a slider on off switch, the rest of the handsets ring so its ok if anyone else is in the house downstairs they can still use the phone.

Its not the volume I'm bothered about just to be able to switch ythe bell off or on easily with a switch like my old ones are.
    Thanx
