in Credit cards
I have just applied and been given a Lloyds TSB card.
I did a balance transfer last Friday,and the statement arrived this morning.
I am trying to set up a standing order to pay the minimum,but i cannot find their bank account number on the statement.
I am sure a read somewhere that you can just enter eight zero's in that box,and there would be no problem,is that correct?
I would rather not ring them,as the card is in my wife's name and she would have to do it.
Anybody know what to do?

I think you need to set up a direct debit for the variable minimum payment required.
Then it is up to the credit card company to take the right amount at the right time.
A standing order is usually if not always for the same amount each time which is not what you want................................I have put my clock back....... Kcolc ym0 -
to this when dealing with similar questions about hubby's cc (as I deal with the repayments etc) is to phone them up and tell them you have a generic question, ie a question that's not account specific, and I've always got an answer.2014 Target;

Some credit cards dont allow standing orders and it has to be by direct debit. You should be able to pick the DD forms up from a branch easily enough by a simple request.

If you could tell me which type of card you have, I bank online with Lloyds TSB and can tell you through the bill payment facility the number you need.0

Could be you are right about the 8 0's -- (acc. no.00000000) but you will need the correct sort code.

Have you asked your own bank? Possibly via their telephone operators. Most banks have access to a database of numbers so they can set up payments. They will only need the credit card number to decipher account. They won't be able to check the card is not yours.0

the sort code is 772900 and account no. 00000000. I too have the plat card.
They will also set up a dd over the phone but the account holder will need to phone.0 -
Apologies to the OP, I did attempt to get the information through the bill payment facility at Lloyds TSB online, but to get it I'd have needed the reference number (so, your account number first). Then I'd have been able to view the full details - needless to say you wouldn't want to be giving a stranger the 16 numbers on the front of your card.
Well done CTT.0
