ive recently copied my entire iTunes folder from one external HDD to another during a clear up and when i clicked iTunes to use in on my pc it couldnt find files, so i added folder to library but it seems to have duplicated everything! All 15 Gb of stuff! Is there an easy way to sort through whats in it and delete anything thats duplicated? Please say there is!
Also, if i was to buy a smaller iPod, say a shuffle or nano, can i create maybe a new playlist and copy just that to the smaller capacity player? obviously my iTunes is about 15Gb music, photos, films etc but id like to copy my favourite music to a smaller unit for the gym etc... any ideas?
many thanks in advance

Hi BB,
Has it duplicated all the files or has it just created duplicate entries in itunes? If it's duplicate entries you can delete every entry(original & duplicate) then get itunes to rediscover all your files. you'll have to re-create your playlists though.
I've got an 80Gb ipod and my gf has a shuffle using seperate playlists works fine.

Hi BB,
Sorry about the late reply, it should be safe to delete all the entries. This will not delete your files only remove them from itunes. Once they have all been removed from itunes you can import the files back in.
I started typing instructions for this but I need to check a couple of things before I guide you through doing this, I dont want you to lose everything you have.
Check back in a couple of days and I should have some instructions for you.
Cheers,
Kevin0
