another NHS voice of experience - bank pay is notoriously slow to come through but if you only started mid August, you probably missed the pay run and will get it all at the end of September (hopefully).

Thanks to everyone for taking the time out to answer my request for help. I truly appreciate your responses.

As a bank staff I don't have fixed contractual hours and should be paid weekly. I'm shocked to hear that someone waited 4 months before they got paid - I'm the single earner here so I can't rely on others to pay the bills.

I've got work elsewhere, but I still need my wages! My frustration is with the deceit I have to face from HR. I just want them to be honest. If the paperwork is lost (I don't care how) just tell me, and if the wages won't be paid out until the end of September then say so. Stress from their lies and ommissions is going to hurt me far more than the truth - surely that's one of the most basic rules you learn in life?

I'm very grateful to you for your support - I feel much more in control of the situation... but if it takes 4 months :eek: to sort, I might just write to my MP and see if she can step in!
