Hi
trying to setup Netgear DG834G v4 wireless router and have got to a page asking for PPPoA settings and here I am stumped.
why cant they ask for information in plain english it says it need my username and passsword
now does it mean the username and password I need to login to my account on my ISPs webpage or the broadband connection details I used on my old BT router?
I have tried the old broadband details and it says no good so I assume its the ISP login details? something like
username: hkajfkjafj@eclipse.co.uk
password : **********
is this what is meant by PPPoA settings?
to be honest I have never really used My ISP login details and I am having difficulty remembering them.

Every router has security settings
The default username is admin and the password is either password or 1234.:idea:0 -
I have the same router so you might try this. If you're trying to get into your router setting page, http://192.168.0.1 the user name and password are probably 'admin' and 'password' if you haven't set it up before.
This info might also help:

yes the ppoa setting is the isp username and password, make sure you haven't got them mixed up with your email account un/pw as they don't have to match.click here to achieve nothing!0
