Hi! Haven't altered any settings as far as I know, but suddenly all the smilies, etc are just appearing as squares with a red cross???? Whay do I do to get them back please?

I've noticed that (only for me, they just aren't there).
I have a feeling people think I've been being nasty as they can't see my humourous and reassuring smilies.0 -
