Help please to set up my recorder, and sky

Boy, do I need help.
I have a sky box to receive freewiew from sky.
About a month ago I bought a Humax HD box to enable me to watch HD TV. I put a new quad LNB onto my sky dish, ran two cables to the TV. My thought was, use the Humax box to watch TV and the sky box to record using my Pioneer 545HX-S recorder.

I can't get the recorder to record, when I try to set up Guide plus system. When it askes as it changed to BBC 1, it do change to BBC 1 the picture stayes on for a few seconds then goes off.

The way I have it connected is scart from sky box VCR scart out to pioneer scart plug AV2 input the top one.
Another scart from pioneer AV1 bottom one to TV scart.

Also one antenna cable from sky box RF out 1 to pioneer digital in.

My TV is a Sony KDL-32W4000.

I have failed I hate saying that, however I have failed to get it to record.
Anyone have my setup, and managed to get it to work.
Please help.

Disconnect the aerial lead, its doing nothing except creating a (possible) feeback loop
Cant say as ive ever tried what your trying,but to record you USUALLY do as follows ~
Set the Pioneer to record AV2 at whatever the times that are needed. Set Sky box to switch to whatever channels are needed.
Any help?

Thanks for your answers.
I have tried just about everything, except don't use antenna, only sky dish antenna.
Its strange I can only get the picture to come back on if I go into the set-up, go to manual set-up, and don't do anything and the picture reappears.
I will give it a go with no antenna.

The way I have mine setup is SKY TV OUT Scart to DVD recorder IN [not the VCR out] then DVD scart out to TV. -- Dave
