I guess not. It's a Zanussi ZDI 6896 SX which I inherited. It currently has a silver door and handle rather than a wooden door which matches the other kitchen units but I think the door is in the garage so I wanted to fit it if poss as the silver door is dented. I can't open the dishwasher so there must be some safety mechanism or something. I think I have the door for it in the garage but no sign of any springs or anything. I have the manual but it says to follow the template provided which I don't have. Does anyone have the same machine or have experience of fitting these?0

If I remember rightly, you screw some little hooks onto the back of the door panel, then you slide this down into position and put a couple of small screws through from the inside of the dishwasher door. You then have to adjust the springs so that the door balances with the weight of the wood - which will be different from the one you took off.
I hate the zanussi as it doesn't balance with a very light pine door - springs are too strong.0
