Help, President Hotel Malta

Purchased a voucher for President Hotel Malta on Ebay through Voucher King/ Smartfusion back in October, paid by cheque. Booked the holiday for 2nd October.
Just had an e-mail from the hotel saying that the company Smartfusion owes them money so i will have to pay again direct to the hotel if i want my holiday!
Can i do anything?

This is not your problem you paid for it already. I would contact the company u paid on ebay and see what they say, as they should be able to sort it out. It may be a genuine misunderstanding. If this does not sort it, it might be worth contacting your bank to see if you can get a refund as you have not received what you paid for. I would also report the company off ebay to trading standards and ebay themselves.

Um, how is this not a problem for the OP?

OP has paid via a third party, third party has not paid the hotel therefore third party requires payment. The contract OP has is with the third party and needs to persue them. The company smart fusion has a website here:
http://templates.hotelier.com/flashgalleries/montealto/ so I would suggest contacting them through that first as I can't see any other way of getting either a holiday or your money back. It is far too late now for ebay to be interested and a bank will onyl act where there is a crime and a proper crime number, so it might even be worth persuing Smart fusion through the courts if all else fails.
