How to cancel BT text service

Hi - please help if you can

How do I stop receiving the BT text service. I have never used it although must have signed up for it on the unlimited eve and weekend plan

Does anybody know how - please

  • If you have never sent a text from your landline you want be registered for BT Text, so theirs nothing to cancel.
  • Thanks so far - but today I receive 3 calls from BT asking me to press 1 to receive text etc and a bit annoying as I want as few phone calls as possible any more advice ? is it BT calling ??

    Thats because someone has sent a text to your landline number. They can do this whether you have got inclusive texts or not.

    You can turn off BT Voice Text service completely by calling 0800 587 5252 from your BT Line. Choose option 5 the last one offered.
