Curtains, aprons, cushion covers, door sausages, duvet covers/pillowcases... come to my house and teach me... I borrowed my Mum's machine a month ago and haven't managed to thread it yetTOP MONEYSAVING TIP
Make your own Pot Noodles using a flower pot, sawdust and some old shoe laces. Pour in boiling water, stir then allow to stand for two minutes before taking one mouthful, and throwing away. Just like the real thing!0 -
What about making aprons? Know that sounds strange but my sister fancied a 'retro' pinny - you know the kind with the full bodice with ruffles round it - thought I would get her one for her birthday as she has started baking, cooking etc from scratch - however they were over £20!!!! In the end made one for £6 (not including the pattern which I have for making more!) Could you possibly sell these, and also make the small tea pinnies that are only a half size - lets face it to cut back on the washing we may all start wearing them again!!!!Every days a School day!0

Thanks .. some great ideas here.
The sewing machine came with a dvd on how to thread it, thread the bobbin, install zippers and make button holes. ITs great idea to have a dvd with the sewing machine as otherwise i wouldnt have had a clue!0 -
Hi frugalsparkle,
There's a very recent thread on this that should give you more ideas so I've added your thread to it to keep the suggestions together.
