  • what's with all the silly comments!!
I like CRT tellies, and I enjoyed the chance to poke a little bit of fun at people who feel the need to spend hundreds or thousands to get the latest thing, often to impress other people. I recently got a couple of fantastic CRT tellies on ebay for buttons, thanks to that attitude.

It means that your friends will laugh at you and talk about you for not having a flat screen television set, and your children will be shunned if they show up at University with one. Buying a CRT telly is worse than having the wrong trainers.
I bet you drive a people carrier don't you?
Actually I have a CRT telly and I wouldn't change it for anything. There is absolutely no comparison in picture quality between a CRT and an LCD or Plasma screen. Even the very cheapest of CRT TV's will win every time for picture quality over ANY LCD or Plasma.

P.s. aren't trainers what Chavs wear?

I wouldnt give an LCD tv house room, BF has a huge great Sony Bravia one and in my humble opinion....its rubbish!! The coulors and picture quality are far better on my £100 from Argos crt one.........I have managed to order and arrange a delivery date from one of these from asda aswell.
Debt free = December 2010...as of March 2006 it is now January 2010..... as of December 2008 it is now December 2009 :j hopefully sooner!!
:jDEBT FREE:j January 2012, took longer but I got there, all by myself, through sheer hard work and pride!

Thanks bought one for my dd who is going to uni - as a surprise - you just ruined it!!

If kids shun others because they have a crt then they must have been brought up badly!!!

    Shame on you!!!!
ACII and Chartered so now I can focus on learning to play my beautiful Sax. 🎷

    Bless you!
  • Don't worry Jeppy - I do not know of any self-respecting student that would want anything other than a CRT TV. A plasma or a LCD would be completely out of place in student digs. Your dd will be delighted :D . Now bring back rotary dial telephones and I'll be happy.
  • Just ordered one for my sons' room, and the code worked! Bargain1
    Thank you!

Got one for £39.96 many thanks OP. This is a great, I paid £45 for a tv this size in my local Somerfield a few years ago when they were selling off their electrical stuff so this is a great buy. :T
