I now have a new Amex Platinum card and will be using that solely for the next 3 months to get the 5% cashback.
I don't use my Goldfish card so I phoned Goldfish today to cancel my account with them.
Goldfish customer services offered to credit my account with them by £10 if I did not cancel.:rolleyes::rolleyes:
So it looks like it may be to ones advantage in some circumstances to tell your existing service provider that you are moving to a competitor.
e.g. when I contacted my Internet Service Provider in the Spring to obtain a Migration Authorisation Code because I was considering moving to another Provider I was offered a £2 reduction in my monthly bill and an increase in my monthly download allowance from 5 to 20 GB. :j:j:j

You may be aware that Goldfish have now been taken over by barclays who have written to me to say they are going to issue holders with new cards, and perhaps new account numbers. That sort of disruption may be worth the £10.0

Was paid, and have spent my Goldfish £10.. unfortunately they'd need to keep it coming to encourage me to keep it open beyond now!0

I've recently had £10 from Morgan Stanley (also Barclaycard) and £20 from Amex Platinum. Amex said they would review teh position again with me in 12 months - I'll have to see how long I can spin this one out for !0

Let us know how you get on with that, especially if you can work out how many cards you'd need to make a decent second income out of it (ie beat stoozing).0
