Any free software to use internal modem for making and receiving calls?

Hello everyone.
I have a laptop with a HDAUDIO SoftV92 Data Fax Modem with SmartCP.
Firstly I was wondering can this modem be used for making and receiving calls and secondly is there any free software to do this.
I'm using Vista and I started the Phone Dialer software which will initially make a call but cannot receive one.

Your data fax modem was designed to interface with another modem to transfer data, not for making and receiving voice calls. You don't need to use your modem to make free calls, research VOIP e.g. here:doh: Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

Skype allows you to make free calls to other Skype users however charges you to phone landlines and mobiles. Or am I missing the point....?0
