We have approx. £15k to pay off mortgage and can pay back £1,5k/month is it worth getting the 0% credit card to get this money to pay off and repay the card within the fixed term?

Take a good look at your T&Cs and make sure you know what fees are involved in paying it of early, or even ring them up for your settlement fee.

If they say 15K, then will they take a CC payment?? if not you would have to SBT it.

Once the bill is on the CC, make sure you pay the min amount each month during the promo period, and put the rest of the 1.5K in a high interest account. Then when the promotional rate is due to finish you should have quite a bit of extra interest built up...

On my own mortgage there is a £250 admin fee to pay when the mortgage finishes, make sure you go over your own T&C's carefully..
