Homebase Spend & Save - 10% Limit Changed

Just received a mailing from Homebase. In small print they state that they have increased the limit for 10% rewards from £400 to £600.

This means that if you have already spent between £400 & £600 in your first 6 months you will in fact technically owe them up to £16 back before you get any more rewards or another way of looking it is that they have reduced your rewards by up to £16 if you were just going over the £400 spend.

I phoned to complain and their response was that they are within their rights under the terms and conditions to change the limit but to me this seems very underhand and makes their previous promotions of the scheme misleading and deceptive.

Any thoughts?

I hadn't noticed that Homebase had increased points, but Homebase seems to have become very dear. The quote we had for a kitchen, including discount was outrageous.

Oh and I have almost given up on them since we are now Diamond Club savers at B&Q. I most stores you can have the 10% off every day, especially if you ask a suitable looking assistant.

For the basics, we find Wickes to be best priced, although they don't have as much choice as the other two.
