Property not listed on houseprices.co.uk - another way?

Is there another online alternative to this? I'm trying to find out what the vendor bought a house for but it doesnt seem to be listed. Thanks :)

When did the house change hands last time? You can often find this info in HIP. Ask for one!

If you google free house price register there are a few that come up. How long ago was the sale, as it can take a few months to go through the land registry and start showing up.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

why is it relevant? What you need to know is what similar properties are currently selling for
  • I don't think all purchases are listed, only those since a few years ago, so if they bought way back it might not be on any site.

  • You could try http://www.nethouseprices.com/ but I imagine it has the same info as houseprice.co.uk?
  • Try zoopla.co.uk... usually good for house prices. And propertysnake.co.uk. Both good for negotiating house prices. Just putthe postcodes in.
  • The Rightmove website has information on sold prices from the year 2000. Again, you need the postcode - if you don't have it you can get it from the Post Office website.

Have you got the postcode right?

When was it bought? They're normally a few months behind
