A friend of mine is considering having me as her lodger but she is on Family tax credits and wants to know if it will affect her claim.
She is a single working mum with a 12 year old son.
Would appreciate any advice..

Best thing is to ring them. It's a bit complicated because there's a "Rent a room" scheme HMRC run where you can earn just over £4k a year tax free for renting out a room so I'm not sure if that amount would be excluded as income or not.0

You already asked this question yesterday. I already gave you the following information.
Based on the amount that will you be paying in rent it wouldnt affect the tax credits.
