Problems last night and this morning

Had problems getting the site to load.
Also had a strange "blip" just now.
Wrote a message,then tried to edit it and add a smiley face type icon,but whilst the site allowed me to put the smiley face in,when I checked my post,they smiley face was not in?!! Then,when i went back to edit again,the edit page when you add stuff again was showing the smiley,tried to update the page,but it won't "add" the smiley onto the finished page..strange!!
