Mmmmmn, talking of complete strangers has just reminded me that I fairly regularly send some of the contents of my bank account to a stranger who lives 300 miles away.

Not only that, but they also have my goods. ;D AND they are holding my stuff to ransom as they require to be fed chocolate cake before handover.

Now surely that tops the 'sounds dodgy even to me' league?

    ;) ;D

For those that cannot get to an Argos everyday----visit the Argos Advent Calendar :-
    https://www.santashouse.argos.co.uk
Helps stop the withdrawal symptoms and if you win, free is slightly better than RO prices but only just.

  • Those darn posts that dont appear are getting more and more frequent

Just wanted to share in the Delboy debate, it is so hard to explain to 'outsiders' where the stuff comes from. Its from argos honest...... ;);) my Mum still has not grasped the concept of it all although is great at travelling 40 miles here and there to pick stuff up I have reserved. Every time she goes she always asks me 'I wont get arrested for this will I' ;D ;D ;D
    Nice to save.

She is a top stick I have to say ;D ;D and with the 198 pce home tool set, 117 pce Mechanics Tool Kit and a new Dyson for xmas she is going to be even more invaluable next year ;D ;D
    Nice to save.
  • I had to laugh while watching the pouncy hotelier on Chanel 4 last night who said that the first impression of someone's home is the hall and how it should be tidy ::)

Just incase anyone wants a free visit to a top hotel in Edinburgh, you can win one here but be warned it becomes adictive hunting the little beggars ;D

    :-X You're bad! (Funny.....but bad!)

    ;D ;D ;D

Edit: That was aimed at Dave, but edinburghlass got in the way.  ;)  ;D

2nd edit: decorative is much better than tidy edinburghlass, especially if it's decorated with Argos memorabilia. ;D

    Off haggis hunting...........

MarkR [/s]PinkBagManlink=board=Urgents;num=1101146555;start=450#479 date=12/01/04 at 23:32:51]Had a similar conversation with my Mum about a ring possibly coming from someone I never met in Scotland and yes it realy is 18 carat, no its not dodgey,  and it was £200     and no they havent got any in local argos, its not in the book , no its not been advertised!     Dont think i quite got delboys sales patter  .......  wanaa buy a watch anyone?
So I then try to explain that a complete stranger, who lives I know not where is going to send me a set at an incredibly cheap price and no, his name is NOT Delboy.

You know by the time I came off the phone it sounded dodgy even to me ;D ;D

"Mum a man is going to put some money in your ac so you can buy him a ring."
    "Who?"
    "Eerrr.... a 'friend'"
    "How much is the ring?"
    "Well it's er £50."
"Why can't he get it himself?"
"Eerrr.....it's only available in your local."
    "What catalogue?"

And so it went on...and on...and on...the more I say it out loud to 'outsiders'. The crazier it sounds.

But perhaps we're the only 'sane' people in a mad world.

You can spend your time alone re digesting past regrets,
Or you can come to terms and realize you're the only one who can forgive yourself.
Makes much more sense to live in the present tense.
