They were really busy though and didn't have time to produce the RO list for me there and then.

Sorry if this is an incredibly stupid question, but does this mean that you can go into any Argos and ask to see the RO list?

You can always ask but doubtful if they will treat your request with an RO list at this late stage in the game! Also any Argos I have been in over the past week or so is incredibly busy for Christmas and the staff to say the least are harassed

I was discussing this with MarkR in pm earlier about trying to explain to a friend the finer points of the Argos Sale.

Sent a friend the link for the Binatone phones to have a look at, explained to her that I had them, good set and did she want a set for her Christmas! Needless to say she tries to find them on the Argos website.

1st question is why are they not there? Answer is old cataloque stock so no longer on the website.

2nd question is how did you find out about them? Answer is well, one night long ago a number of people sat at their pcs long into the night trying to second guess what LCD TV was on offer. (I still laugh to think of all those LCD TV's that were on R&R that night) And so followed many, many threads and posts while people noted codes and Stumpy listed them to make it easier for us to view, etc, etc.

3rd question is can I buy them at my local Argos? Another long conversation while I try to explain that no, probably not BUT I know a man who can!!

So I then try to explain that a complete stranger, who lives I know not where is going to send me a set at an incredibly cheap price and no, his name is NOT Delboy.

You know by the time I came off the phone it sounded dodgy even to me ;D ;D

On reflection...
I think buying cufflinks was a very wise thing to do (specialy as someone who looked remarkabley like me was seen buying pink bags! ..... allegedley)
To share conversation had with edingborouglass a bit more (is ok will leave some bits out ) Had a similar conversation with my Mum about a ring possibly coming from someone I never met in Scotland and yes it realy is 18 carat, no its not dodgey, and it was £200 and no they havent got any in local argos, its not in the book , no its not been advertised! Dont think i quite got delboys sales patter ....... wanaa buy a watch anyone?
