  • Could you check the tandem pushchair for me please

    3754078

It is for home delivery only, but if they've got it please, please, please order it for me. Have it delivered to you and I will pick it up next time I'm in Scotland (after xmas so you may have to consider storage costs ;)

Let me know if you can.

    Thanks
    Hes

I'll check tomorrow too Hes, number written down, but should Aliasajo get it she can bring it down here when she drives down the 10 tonne truck :D

I will only manage to get to Craigleith though so if anyone else is checking Kinnaird, can you let me know.

Need to clarify? Does this mean you'll only consider picking up and posting on if someone has a good offer for you?

If so, then that's a bit unfair

    Sorry to be unclear.....

No, I'm happy to pick it up for anyone, but if anyone wants to do a swap, then I was willing to do that. As it happens, another MSEer has PMed me and asked me to pick & post it.

    :-/Just a thought....

Although it doesn't apply in my case, as there's no actual profit involved, some MSEers might have bus rides or parking meters to feed to visit the store and so a little recompense might not be out of order.
most people around here will help each other out just to be kind and there doesn't have to be something in it for them.

    I agree - I too have had Argos bargains posted to me. ;D :D ;D :D ;D :D

No need to apologise incidentally, it was my fault for not being clear. :-[
Life should be a little nuts; otherwise it's just a bunch of Thursdays strung together.

Fantastic....fingers crossed. If you can get it (or Aliasojo) then I'm sure I could find you - you can't be that far from Penicuik!

Thanks a million for looking for me :)

Tried the push chair code all stores around me , Sorry no joy at leicster, northampton, rugby kettering Mkt Harboro , rushden or wellingboro, but will keep trying it, ome prob tho if get it bet would cost loads to post, I would luv the scalextrix (resisting saying thingy nearly typed it tho) but would think postage on something that size would kill saving.
Nope.... Still cant think of owt interesting to put here.

Don't worry hesjane, it was already on my 'to do' list. I will certainly check tomorrow.

Mandymack: both Inverness stores did have RO stock, but the Eastgate one only had a small amount and didn't get much of anything in again as the store is so small.

The Retail Park store is actually classed as an RO store so they had more stock. Although compared with further down South, there wasn't a great deal and they certainly didn't get big RO shipments in like other stores did.)

There might be the odd thing now, but that's about it. Having said that, the last 'odd thing' that they had was a couple of weeks ago and was an Animal Dyson so it's always worth checking.

Rumour has it that the Retail Park store is going to be made an 'extra' store and it is to be extended upwards, to add another floor. Keep your fingers crossed!  ;D

POINT TO NOTE: Very recently, I have tried R&R with no joy, but have found the item in stock after actually going in store an hour later. This has happened a lot, too many times to be coincidental, so if you have the option to visit a store, I would advise doing that over phoning. You're more likely to get acurrate info that way. :-/

Pushchair saving would be worth the cost of carriage......but if any of my Scottish friends can pick it up I go up there (to Edinburgh, Girvan, Oban) several times a year as we have family there (used to live up there many moons ago!) and this would mean I would only need to pay actual cost.

Hope that made sense.....felt a rambling sensation washing over me as I typed ;)

Thanks for clearing that up, sometimes it hard to know how something is meant when it is just written as opposed to being spoken. ;D

I see your point, but I think very few people will live next door to an Argos and so the majority will have some sort of expense, whether it be bus fares/parking/petrol costs etc. I think we all just file those costs under the 'helping others' label and take them in our stride.

Of course, I'm sure I'll soon be corrected by the rest of you if I'm wrong here? ;)

the postage on the scalextric thingy depends on how quick u want it,first class would indeed kill savings but if delivery in 3 to 4 days is ok than sending by standerd parcels would be ok,maximum cost for that is £11.70 and thats for 20kg,u would be nowhere near that weight probably less than half :)the pushchairs might be too long(max 1.5 metres) to use this service though :'(
  • Hes, Aliasajo and Wee_Fifer know where Oban is, its between Berwick and Ayr ;D ;D

Spent the last 8 years going up to my caravan near Connel on the Fort William road, just before Benderloch. Have a fabby photo of a beaut sunset over the water to Mull as my wallpaper on the pc at the moment.
