Have a look in Tammy Girl as they are starting to get in their party wear and they are quite reasonable, fashionable and go upto age 16 so should fit your DD.

    Here are all the dresses

Don't forget tights and shoes. Black patent or silver dolly shoes look great with frocks on younger teens and will get worn again.

So DD is off to town with my OH. She looked at the dresses and tops I had printed off and said

"I thought I told you that I would never wear a dress ever!, they may look pretty but not on me. I'll just go in jeans and a top"

My OH suggested she at least had a look which she agreed to - ah well - c'est la vie

Nice trendy jeans and a party top will look great on a 13 year old.

My DD is 13 and very girly (Jane Norman is her fav shop) but she sometimes feels the jeans and top look is what she wants for a night out!

At 13 they can get away with anything :)

pictures later - it was all a bit of a rush, and she ended up with a combination - very smart trousers - red top with black waistcoat, and 4" heels. all for <£40. + a little bit of bling jewellry

she looked lovely, but unsteady, and her very fashoipnable friends there to greet her at the door were making all the right noises!!

    sorry - no pics,

I couldn't find anything on the web that looked like what she wore (good for individuality then!!), and when she came back from the sleepover which she really enjoyed she was in mufti again.

thanks for all your help - over and out :-)
