advice needed re XL.com airways
I paid for flights using a mastercard been reading through various posts - what is the difference between s75 claim and the chargeback process? Would I be able to claim for holiday accommodation that I will be unable to use due to no flight and also train ticket to the airport? any advice would be appreciated.
thanks

Hi,
I am in the same position and found this website:
http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/publications/ombudsman-news/31/creditcards-31.htm
It states that:
The claim is not limited to the amount of the credit card transaction. Customers can claim for all losses caused by the breach of contract or misrepresentation. And this applies even if all they paid by credit card was the deposit.
So that suggests you should be able to claim for the cost of your accomodation that you can't now use aswell.
I have the added complication that I purchased the flights on a credit card but since have cancelled that credit card.Does anyone know what the score is with that? Do the credit card company still have a responsibility to me in regards of this matter? Surely they do as i was a customer at the time of purchase?
I spoke to them on the phone earlier and they are coming back to me, but didnt seem that bothered about helping me.0
