These things are great, I use them. You put them in a little soap bag for your laundry (dry them out between washes). Add a couple of drops of essential oil to your softener dispenser for fragrance, believe me it works great!!! When they are all used up you can simply put them in the liquidiser for a few seconds and add to liquid soap for an exfoliating soap. Perfect product....try it!

Further to my other comment re using them in the washer, here is a link for a free wash net:http://www.persil.co.uk/DosingProduct.aspx (already posted but thought I would put it here for convenience!)

I've been using these for a few months and they are fab! I've never used them as an exfoliating soap though. I know that you can use them as a general cleaner and in your dishwasher (again I've not tried them in the dishwasher) They have quite a weird smell when they are dry, sort of strong vinegar. They do not leave a scent on the clothes when they are washed, but I use a few drops of lavender or lemon/orange essential oils- whatever I am in the mood for.
They last for ever as well, you use about 6 halves in a little linen bag in the wash. You then re-use the 6 halves until they go black (about 4-5 washes).
One thing is they are no good with stains etc, so have a standby of powder/stain remover if you have a soiled wash, you can put liquid stain remover in with the soapnuts.
My daughter has quite sensitive skin and this is the first real thing that I've found that does not irriate her skin at all.

  • Ive just bought them through paypal too
  • This is unreal. Are people seriously thinking that these are 'green'? 100g of soapnuts has the carbon footprint equivalent to driving a 4x4 30 miles
  • Sorry to sound thick...whats a soapnut and what exactly can you do with them?
