Right girls, it would help me as a guy to get a gift for a girl I like this xmas.
Something not too personal as I dont want to scare her off (if she isn't scared already!)
I am thinking along the lines of a scraf and gloves set. What others gift would you girls think is appropriate without breaking the bank? I already got her a chanel perfume earlier in the year for her birthday, so I want to get her something different.
Girls, you may include things you would like from a guy this xmas. But dont fantasie too much like a '1 carat single stone platinium ring' or a tall, dark and handsome hunk with a six pack and a big wallet etc

I would not get a girl you like a scarf and gloves set - save that kind of thing for Mum, Auntie, gran, friend etc. if you want to impress a lady then get something personal. You will have to get a few ideas of what she is in to - hobbies, interests, and get something along those lines.
I would go for a bottle of champagne as a fool proof pressy as long as she likes alcohol, Tesco have got some offers on at the moment, or book a meal out with her and get the time written on a card from th restaurant.
Flowers, get them off a market then they will be cheap, better still get down to a wholesalers then you will be a able to afford so many it won't matter that you may not be a flower arranging whizz.Member no.1 of the 'I'm not in a clique' group :rotfl:

Not a scarf and gloves, it needs to be something which shows you have thought of her, what does she like doing? If you dont know, how about some thorntons chocs.Always on the hunt for a bargain0

If you want to impress her, but not break the bank. A little investigation into, what type of music she likes, what type of perfume she wears and what sort of earrings she wears, some nice chocolates!
So you'll have A CD, a small bottle of perfume, a nice pair of (gold or silver) earrings and some choccies.
Package all the items separately, tied up with some nice christmassy bows and and put them into a christmas stocking or gift bag. Lots of little but nice things and I sure she'll be very pleased.

Thanks alot for your thoughts and suggestions. I thought getting her a scraf and gloves is being thoughtful and sweet as it's the winter, just goes to show we men need you girls sometimes to tell us what u like (more like alot of the times!
)
I think earrings, chocolates and flowers are fab. Now I'll need to search around for a good pair of earrings, suggestions of which shops required. Chocolates I'll get from thorton as I've done and gave her on her birthday. Flowers..... i am working on xmas eve, so shops will be closed early then. I may have to order them early. Music is good, but she and I both can get it from the net.
Champagne is something I planned to give her mum along with choc biscuits. Got a couple bottles of champagne at home so will use that. Got maybe upto £100 or more to spend, so will spend most of it on the earrings. She's a lovely girl and I really like her. Impressing her and being thoughtful is a must!0
