    Hi All

I work at the company that is promoting this offer through QuickPages mailings and I can confirm that no-one will be issued with a voucher without having made 3 genuine calls to obtain quotes from insurers. We can and do check that calls have been made, the automated telephony system says it will send a voucher out before these checks have been made, on the assumption that the claim is genuine.

The terms and conditions of this offer state that you must obtain 3 quotes from the insurers listed, using the freephone numbers given and then call the hotline from the same phone number. We do check with the insurers and will only issue a voucher to callers who have obtained 3 genuine quotes.

Here are the QuickPages terms and conditions taken from the mailing:

    Terms and Conditions
    · No purchase necessary
    · To claim your voucher ALL CALLS must be made from the same phone number to your three chosen insurers as well as the QuickPages Hotline. This will allow us to track and confirm you qualify for this offer.
    · Three Insurers must be calls using numbers featured in this letter or the QuickPages booklet, Insurer names must be provided in order to qualify for this offer. We reserve the right to check with insurers that quotes have actually been obtained.
    · In some cases we may need to telephone you to further confirm your voucher delivery information. We will only contact you should it be necessary, your telephone number will not be used by us or passed on to anyone else for marketing purposes.
    · Vouchers will be dispatched within 28 days.
    · Only one claim per household.
    · Closing date for all voucher claims 30th November 2008.

Sorry to disappoint but it would not be wise business sense to give away £10 for nothing!

sorry to disappoint but yeah I got mine also and I only made one little free phone call (even though to give £10 vouchers away for phoning an automated free phone number makes no business sense at all )

I got quotes from pretty much all these companies a couple of weeks ago, for another market research company (who were a little more discriminating - I had to give a unique reference code). The quotes all came in at more than £200 more than my renewal quote. So, I was at least honest in my responses...

Here's hoping it comes through along with the other £5 M&S voucher - I'd like to stock up on M&S pasta next time it's on offer...
  • i have just done it as my insurance is up for renewal on the 27th but none of the quotes could beat my existing one. i rang up to get the voucher but that automated 'tell me your address and spell it' thing cut me off as i was spelling the address! hope it comes through
