Hi can somebody please explain to me how the cap on fuel prices for poor families will work?
I am with sottish power and stuck as far as I can see as they very kindly let me get in arrears on the account by setting the dd far too low, they also dont have a social taffif. We are on IS and carers allowance.

As ar as I know Mr Brown has decided against a cap on prices,and instead has said they will offer grants for improved heating boilers,insulation,double glazing etc.
I am like you-stuck with EDF as they didn't bill me correctly for 8 months.They do have an energy assist tariff but it's only the ame discount as those on dual fuel anyway. I have also been told that as I have a child recieving dla I already get ehlp with my heating bills! (EH?)Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it!0 -
Ohhh I have a child on DLA what help with heating eh??? Mind you I have only just gone onto IS, so maybe I missed something?Debt free and plan on staying that way!!!!0
