Hi,
Not very techie and need a little help on leads/cables etc
Buying new palsma TV and need advice on what additional cables/leads I require to connect the home cinema/sky etc. There seems to be a mountain of differinng leads !!
Do i need HDMI cables ? Optical cables ? Rca audio cables ? Coaxal cables ?
Basically I just want dvd's to be upscaled to HD as the player will do that and I want all sound whether it be tv/sky/dvd/music to come out via the surround sound system.
Hope that makes sense !

Depending on your connections you will probably need one of these for video:

and maybe one of these for the sound:

If you want a better picture I would advise plugging the tv STRAIGHT into the wall
Or use a mains conditoner ~

It filters out 'mains noise' and makes for a better viewing experience (Generally speaking, MOST peope have mains interference)
Which tv are you buying?
Makes a difference as to wether to UPSCALE or not. MOST tvs would benefit from NOT being fed with an upscaled picture and let the tv do it itself!:idea:0
