Nationwide Flex Account

Hello

We are off to Australia in March. We hope to open a flex account with the nationwide to use while we are away.

Is this acceptable to open an account as we really will just put holiday money in it

We have been with the same bank for 25years and really do not want to change all the direct debits etc.

Any advise will be appreciated.

Thanks sak46

Yes, you can open a new account and keep your old one. Nationwide dont require to switch account or to make regular credits.

I did the same thing as well and only used the account for going abroad with no problems. I am now in the process of moving to them as my main account as I have been impressed so far.

I been banking with the Nationwide BS for nearly 20 years. Always had excellent & helpful service. Flexaccount works well. May have been last year when I noticed a transaction that wasn't mine (small amount £10 or so). A quick message via their internet banking and the money was refunded, no quibbles!
Also in the past used them for buying foreign currency (no commission) Now don't even use that as the debit card works everywhere and they don't charge commision. Call centres are very helpful and are still UK based! Though it can take a while getting through if you phone at peak times.
Branches are very good as well.

    yours

I've used Nationwide all around the world without any major problems. Also a Nationwide credit card for spending would be useful.
