Cold Weather Payments - A question please?
Options
I have just checked the eligibility for this benefit and it says that you get this benefit if you have a disability premium.
Does this mean DLA or is it more specific. I get DLA but I am unsure what they mean by premium.
Thanks in advance to nayone that can help

I think you get it if your on incapacity benefit too but I think the temperature has to be really low for a few days

I thought that too but it does not list Incapactiy benefit. It lists Pensioners and Unemployed people with Children and also those on a disability premium.
I am just confused as to what the premium thing means. Can anyone help?
I get Incapacity benefit and DLA(low care/high mobility).
Am I entitled to this. Would make me more happier about turning the ehating on this winter if It gets very cold.0 -

Incapacity Benefit doesnt qualify.
Has to be 7 consecutive days of zero temperatures before the cold weather payments kick in, which is rare in most parts of UK.0 -
I've just found out that DLA is not acceptable either. You have to get the Disability Premium for Income Support to qualify.0

The Disability Premium refers to those on Income Support.
If you have no (or very little) other household income, you may be eligible for IS as well as IB.Gone ... or have I?0
