Camera Batteries

I have a Fujifilm Finepix S5700 Digital Camera and currently use rechargeable AA batteries in it that I purchased from Tesco and work ok.

On the batteries I use it states they are 1300 mAh.

Yesterday I purchased some extra rechargeable batteries thinking all AA batteries are the same on these it says they are 2000 mAh.

As the original batteries that came with the camera were not rechargeable I do not have them anymore.

Can anyone please tell me if it is ok to use these 2000 mAh batteries in the camera and what is the difference?

milliamp hours. if you have a 2000mAH battery which powers something which drains 2.0A , , then it will last 1 hour before it needs recharghing. it is a measure of the battery capacity. The voltage that it kicks out should be pretty much similar to other rechargable batteries

Yes you can use those 2000mAh batteries but even higher capacity ones are cheaply available e.g. here

Your 1300mAh ones have only 65% of the capacity of the 2000mAh batteries and only 46% of the 2800mAh ones.
