Help please Archos 405

Hi i have brought it for my sons Birthday today and wanted to put some cartoons from sky on to it.
I have the DVR travel adapter and have followed the instructions (i think) but i still cant get it to work.I have used a scart addapter as the sky box dont have the 3 holes for the wires included.

So if anyone can help me befor he comes in from school please do:o

I know it is a bit late. But wondering did you manage to get it to work.

I have an Archos 500, and took a cpl of days to get it to work properly. Did you use the scart adapter that came with the archos, as on some scart adapters there is a small switch saying in or out, this needs to be on out. The archos one should be out

Also may be worth switching the connections around, unplug connections from sky and plug into tv and vice versa.

No its still not working have got tv programs on it now but says its recording but just get a black screen.It did not come with a scart adapter i used one i already had.No problems getting music on.Shall have a try later but after 6 hours messing yesterday i was ready to throw it out the window

lyns, you might want to try posting your query at the Archosfans unofficial support forum; they can probably give you more help there. I have no affiliation with them but they can probably help more.

Thanks for this managed to get it to work this afternoon recorded sky fine.
I did buy it from there wonder what piece is missing
