Hi, Just a quick and hopefully easy question.
I am 6 weeks pregnant and wondering how my tax credits will be affected when the baby arrives. We have a child who will be in fulltime education (January) and when I go on maternity leave we obviously won't be paying for the extra childcare (My partner and I work fulltime).
Will we get anything whilst I am off work, we only get a small payment now as we are classed as having a high income.
The only reason I am worrying about this now is so that we can try and work out how much we need to save in the next 8 months so that we can try and maintain our normal income whilst I only receive smp
Any advice, experience would be really appreciated.;)

In the first year you get an additional £10 per week for a new baby in ctc,as for the rest it obviously depends on other factors re:income0
