Cost of 0844 overriders via Talktalk & Tiscali?

Hi all,

My parents are ditching their modem & joining the 21st century by going for a combined broadband/phone package. At the moment the use an override provider on an 0844 number to speak to relations in Uruguay. They are currently on BT but will probably be going to Talktalk or Tiscali. Will this cost them any more than the overriders stated price per minute?

    'Product Placement' might be a better description.
    Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

    Thanks to everyone and particularly Bufflowbill for answering my question :)

    And thanks to TalkTalkBoy for highlighting exactly why we should be using these providers for phoning abroad rather than whatever phone company... regardless of how super they like to make you think their packages are :) Current cheapest override provider to Uruguay is 2p per minute... :)

    As well as answering the op question about the cost of 0844 calls he goes on to promote Talk Talk Products.
